This site has a special connection for me - SSgt Rice, the husband, is one of my Marine "adoptees" now home from active duty in Iraq. Please take a look at this darling web store. The perfect place to buy some wonderful and unique presents, while showing your support for our troops.
In January 2005, I was looking for a way to send letters and care packages to military personnel as a way of showing support and thanks for what they do. The top 2 sites are awesome in what they do to help us reach our troops.
Since mid-January, I have been writing & emailing to military personal and sending cheer packages. As I look around me on a weekly basis for things to write about, and taking pictures of ordinary things to put in my letters, I realize over and over again how blessed I am to live in America, to have a home, lovely gardens, my friends and pets. To safely walk the streets of my small town, past the public schools, churches of many dominations, other small businesses such as mine.
Freedom is never free and the men and women of our military put their lives on the line to pay the price for what we all enjoy and what we most often, just take for granted. PLEASE - take a look at these two awesome sites. Send some letters to a soldier, a marine, a navy or National Guard man or woman. Let them know that regardless of individual political affiliations or personal beliefs on this war, our men and women are supported and loved and appreciated. They are America's Heros!
